Back in poland
So yes, i'm back here in Gogolin, PL. Tomorrow we ar going to Wroclaw for Woitek's wedding. forgive my typing because this keyboard is terrible.
anyway, last week was spent in chicago and it was truly simply pure good fun. Somework too,with Project Focus, but after that allll fuuuuun.
Our event went well, we raised just over 1000 bucks and I recieved good feedback on my photography and rug-cutting skills. I was also doing a community painting and just amazed to see how the painting changed as different people worked on it. I am such a fan of the creative process. thank you art therapy.
anyway, back in poland, things are calm and it's always good to be wth those you love an love you. being with family after dealing with moving to NY and graduate school feels like wrapping up in a down comforter with hot chcolate by a fireplace after shoveling snow off the walkway in below zero weather.
i'm slowly shedding the neurosis that i've acuired from living in NY, i'm feeling more and more myself, like the cold from outside is melting off me and i'm discovering that I have a warm pliable body, that is fully functional, under all this cold nasty mess.
ahhhhhh yea.
anyway, this s a good thing. I'm already beginning to formulate plans in my polack head about how productive i'm going to be this summer. Finish my portfolio, check. work on a website, check. work out 3x a week to get rid of my nasty grad-school gut, check. start networking for PF in NYC to get more options for a gallery space and donation oppurtunities, check. PARTY LIKE ITS 2099, CHECK.
i'm feeling the motivation that I felt last year seep back into my blood. i'm golden baby, golden.
i'll be back in NYC June 6th. Then July 29th i'm headed to iceland, then back to poland for another wedding.
