You Too Can Be A Three!
I figured out the mystery so I thought I'd share what I know about the conclusions I've come to about why this blog moved up when it really should have fallen. So grab some popcorn and take some notes so you too can rise in stature.
1. Get another blog in addition to the one that you're currently writing at. Like an idiot start writing in the new one on a regular basis for over a year and a half. No I'm not talking about getting multi blogs that's the same blog in different locations. I'm talking different entries at each blog.
2. Comment on others blogs while writing entries on your blog that are totally uncommentable. You really don't want to ruin things by having actual comments show up on your blog. Now after over a year where it just looks sad that virtually no one comments on your blog and you don't feel like being a loser that begs for comments start writing your own comments to yourself.
3. Next take a look at how many comments you made compared to comments that were made to you. You know you're a success when you're the one doing 99.9% of the commenting. It is likely that you'll be a three before you know it if you average out the comments to blog entries and discover that they don't even average out to one comment per entry.
4. Start not allowing entries for a while and the next time you check the status of your blog you're sure to find yourself a three even if you have no idea why you are a three. So blog on and prosper.
