I got to catch a pre-screening of the film last night thanks to the generosity of one of my regulars at work! He gave us three passes good for two each so I claimed one of them immediately and called up my sister to see if she and the roomies wanted to go. And let me tell you, that house is a Wes Anderson and Jason Schwartzman fan club! So when she called back letting me know that all parties interested were informed and no one else at work looked like they were interested in going, I snagged the rest of the passes and took off like a man on a mission.
The plot revolves around three estranged brothers (played by Jason, Adrian Brody, and Owen Wilson) who meet up in Inda for a train ride towards a seemingly unknown destination. A lot of the cinematography was breath taking, from the bustling Indian cities to the interior and exterior scenes involving the train itself. And the soundtrack is as quirky and eccentric as expected from a Wes Anderson film but matched the pace of the movie well.
Don't want to give a way too much! Just go see it when it comes out already!
