Slow, rainy days are always nice.

Been cleaning and decided to cook a homemade marble bundt cake. Didn't take long to throw together.

Dinner will be some well seasoned pork ribs, fresh picked green beans (picked yesterday by your truly), fresh corn on the cobb (again, picked by me) and fresh french bread (not picked by me, but purchased by me at Wal Mart).

We visited Eubanks Farms in Lucedale, Mississippi, a you-pick-it farm over 100 arces large. There was too much to choose from and I honestly didn't want to leave. I was a little sad that the okra was picked over, along with the squash and the potatoes but I managed to get lovely white corn and some beautiful ears of yellow corn. And green beans gallor! Oh my, I enjoyed picking those. It took me way back to being a kid and helping mom pick veggies at granma's homestead.  Kid loved the fields of huge sunflowers, which she spent two hours wondering through and picking some HUGE flower heads. Massive isn't the word needed, more like GIAHUGEASSIVENORMOUS! One had to measure 25 inches across easy.

Got the car stuck once, but being the country gal that I am I got that puppy out. Other than that the day was a joyful adventure for Kid and I. She loved every minute of it and I loved the time spent with her.
