uuggghhhh
5am this morning saw me up and picking my sister up to go to the swimming pool for the early morning training session - my Sis has been going for a while and has lost a lot of weight, in fact she for the first time in years weighs less than me hence my decision to start swimming with her.
Ive always felt I was a good swimmer but obviously today really put me in my place, im slow, uncoordinated and without my glasses am near blind. After a very rocky start where whilst doing front crawl I got all in a panic cos I was finding the breathing rhythm hard, I did improve and felt far more at ease with the crawl by the end than when I first started. But I have a long way to go and I better get there quickly if im not to piss off the other swimmers with my slowness.
Im now knackerd but I did feel great straight after, a real buzz. I'm off to the spedo shop today to get myself some good goggles and if i stick at it I may even invest in some prescription ones.
We also have a nice shiny new car on the driveway, a metallic liac citroen picasso, lovey to drive and huge compared to my little red cleo!
