AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER
Be Pro-Active -
I debunk common defensive/dismissing/condescending/uninformed comments about The Last Airbender movie getting an all-white cast.
You had questions, I got answers. (
How are Konietzko and DiMartino handling this? I mean, they respect Asian culture obviously )
Okay, after some browsing, I've got some names for you, found here: http://www.paramount.com/paramount.php under the "Senior Executive Team" tab.
Brad Grey is the Chairman and CEO of Paramount.
Adam Goodman is President of Production who "oversees development" of Paramount, including Nickelodeon Films.
Brad Weston appears to be another President of Production responsible for "day-to-day development and production of the film slate and literary acquisitions" for Paramount, including Nickelodeon.
I'd say the best bets are probably the Presidents of Production, and it sounds like Brad Weston (Full title: Brad Weston, President of Production, Paramount Films) in particular-- for Summit, at least, the V.P. of production came to set frequently to communicate in person with the producers and directors and the President was kept in the loop via e-mail and phone calls. I'd think Brad Grey doesn't have much to do personally with the decision, as a general overseer for the whole company, but it might be a good idea to let him know that one of his presidents of production is off his rocker.
