FANART LOVE MEME

How much do I love the new 'edit comment' feature that LJ's sporting? Thos Thsi Tihs much. XDAlso, I feel like a total wretched cad for my last post. Hey Glock, let's see how sad and unhappy you can make people about their art! It isn't enough for artists to beat themselves up constantly over their art skills, I think it'll be better to create a ( Read more... )

1) Comment with your name and say why you love your own art/making art.

I can draw things things that I would like to see, for instance, taking an incredibly hot actor in an historical drama who would never need a nude scene, but if the director ain't supplying, I CAN.

Equally take two straight young men and have them in an intense and erotic scene together.

Make costumes for JRockers that look good! Minus fringe and streamers and excessive sequins.

Hopefully help spread the love of black and white art! *waves banner*

I LOVE how clean and clear your artwork is. It is all about the lines for you, and I adore that sort of attention to detail.

Also, I seriously majorly respect you as an artist, and your artistic integrity. You are definitely a person I value to learn from.

And finally, YAY costume making!!! *HEE*

I don't know where it stems from, but I become fanatic about the line, perhaps because you are trying to capture movement in a static form, or using only line you can't cheat by using texture - and color - to hide mistakes. Having said that, I realize that people will always prefer color to black and white and I have to work on that.

You are answering your own meme right? So I can respond to you?

Well, if I can't make the costumes RL, at least I can design them, and I have had costumes made from my drawings for theatre (yay) I grew up ogling Erte.

Thanks for the props! I myself am in awe of your abilities, and I've been glad to get to know you as an individual, as well as a great artist.

I love the detail in your artwork, and the way you draw lips and hands. Samurai Gackt, squee!

Thank you! It's a bit of a challenge to do an Asian man with full lips and yet not have it look too feminine, (thanks Gackt Not) I was just checking out your DeviantArt Gallery and I can already tell you have a good sense of page design and use negative space well, Ganbatte!

Thank you very much! I think you definitely do a good job keeping Gackt as masculine as he is in your drawings.

Ahahaha, that's a hard row to hoe.

For people who don't know the model, they usally say, I thought that was a woman, then again, they say that of my photos of Gackt too. More man than you'll ever be, more woman than you will ever have.

So true! XD Most of the people I show pictures of Gackt to ask "Who's she?"

The delicacy of your faces, the precision of your lines, they delight me every time. Your attention to details of costume, expression, and lighting are sublime.

That's for me? Wow, thanks, I don't think I deserve that, as I post sketches and rarely finished art, but all I can say is, wait for 2008! ;D

I especially love your H/D art work and the one of Gackt in the Samuri type costume. The detail is always incredible, but I think it's the expressions on the faces that ensnare me the most. Keep drawing hon, even though our lovely wizards are no longer your fare.

Thank you very much, I'm glad when people like the work, frankly, that's one of the reasons I left the HP fandom, the work didn't get enough notice! It's difficult when you work very hard and there's no fb - but I do realize that HP is one of the largest fandoms, and things are posted so often, that work gets lots in the shuffle. That said, most of the hits on my site are for HP fandom, and I've only done, say, four or five.

It's funny you should mention the expressions, I think they are my weak point! Arigato!

Maybe - if you have time and the inclination - you'd like to flex your fingers on a H/D creature pic next spring (after easter) for a creature fic/art exchange on . The Mpreg art we've had so far has been received well and there's a couple more superb pieces of art yet to be posted.
