Mrs. Fields tosses her cookies!
ACK! Another perfectly good thing, gone down the drain!
Was at the mall the other day and went for my obligatory Mrs Fields' Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie. I had the usual $1.45 ready in my hand when the guy at the counter announces its now $1.60. This is no problem, I don't mind paying for a quality product.
I fish out the additional change, pay and leave the counter. I open the bag, the cookie still warm in my hand. It is smaller than usual and barely baked. (I enjoy cookie dough on occasion, but this was not the time nor the place for it!) I went back to see what was up. I guy who served me explained that they had merged the Mrs Fields with a Pretzel Maker location. Now they use a conveyor oven rather than a bakers convection oven due to the Pretzel business.
Ironically the Auntie Annie's pretzels (Which by the way are even more delicious than ones from Pretzel Maker), just went bankrupt and closed up shop in the same mall! Mrs Fields has condemned her self to a life of food court hall of shame!
