...thank you for sharing that beautiful entry, doc. not having experienced any death myself, i can't help but feel virgin to such experiences. and yet reading posts like yours the universal sadness is inexorably present. my condolences to you and your friend.

That's odd about his kitties, in a way I hope the same happen to my cats so I don't have to worry about what happens to them.
