Yesterday kinda went all random on me.
My back-to-back 8 hour shifts at the Dougie were busy. We sold out of rooms on Saturday and that's the first time I've ever been around when the hotel sold out. Then, on Sunday morning, I had a million check-outs. But it all went off without a hitch (for the most part). Everyone was checked out by 11am and I got a buffet breakfast at the end. I'm so glad we are doing breakfasts again.
Anyway, I was supposed to go to this party with Megan. I rang her up on Saturday and told her to give me a call. I was pretty surprised that she didn't ring me because she doesn't seem like that kind of person to ditch someone. But oh well, she did! Not to worry, because just as I was giving up on Megan, I get a random call from Jovana. She is living in Vancouver and she decided to come to Victoria for the weekend. So, I had a party date afterall. She brought along this guy, Will, who is from Guelph. He was pretty cool too. I've put them up at the Dougie for a cheap rate and we went to Natalie's party.
Now, Natalie is also an interesting friend. She was one of my closer friends at school in my grade 12 year. Anyway, a lot has happened to her since then, and she is engaged to a guy named Scott, who will be referred to as Virtual Elvis. They have a cute place in Fernwood, and hosted a good party. Now, Virtual Elvis is a bit older than Natalie, I'm not sure by how much, but by a bit. Anyway, we get to the part and I swear, we were the only people under the age of 35. I was talking to Natalie about and she told me not to tell anyone. OK! It was a great evening anyway. Viirtual Elvis fed me beer. There was a lot of live singing and dancing and the atmosphere was just grand. I wish young people could party like that.
Today was fun. Amy took me driving with my mommy's car around UVic. I'm finally getting the hang of the clutch! Then, I convinced my mum take me out driving and I actually drove on the streets with the clutch. That was a bit more scary, but I didn't stall on the streets once (until I turned on to my road at the end). So yes, I'll be a full-fledged driver soon enough!
And now, I'm procrastanating with school work. I'm going to be fucked this week.
