A story about a boy somewhere between 12 and 15 who is the only person in his class who was not born to name brand genetic engineering.
Does not have brand name birth mark.
Gets bullied for being susceptable to cancer/other disease (even though it is curable), kids don't know it isn't contagious .
Being unbranded is a sign of being poor to middle class folk, but super rich people dont get brands either (personal family geneticists).
Goes to all boys school?? On scholarship??

Bonds with rich boy when neither of them have to go to some horrific brand management thing?? Like, a mutation to cover some safety flaw discovered in Top Brands.
