How else can you help?

Although the most important part of the project will be the writing of the appreciation letters, we do require assistance in two very important areas:

Recruiters - The success of this project depends on getting a high number of participants. It’s been my experience that in campaigns (not just in DI but in other forums) there tends to be low member turn around. It really does take a lot for people to get motivated to come to a forum and post, let alone become part of a campaign or project, especially when it involves actual work. With that in mind, it will be essential for those of us who are motivated and passionate about this project to go to other places online and seek out more pro-Lois and Clark participants. Manu and I will be heading the efforts but we do need more members to help us out. If you have an LJ account, you can help spread the word there. If you use Twitter, and you know how to navigate that site pretty well, you can be a great help to our project.The same goes for any other major social network such as myspace, facebook, ect. If you have accounts in these sites, please consider becoming a recruiter for this project. We’ll help you out with fanart and we’ll even give you a pre-written message to post. All we need is the motivation and the helping hand to reach as many places online as possible.

Editing Staff - We expect to be getting anywhere from 100 to 300 letters for this project and because of that we will be asking for members with refined writing skills to join Jade and her team of editors to edit the letters as they come along. The purpose of an editor will simply be to correct any glaring errors. Content will pretty much remain the same. So if you have the time, please volunteer to be an editor. You can select how many letters you wish to edit so this position will not be a burden. Any amount of editing will help us out, be it the editing of 1 letter, 5 letters 10 letters, 20 letters, etc.

Donations - In addition to requiring recruiters and editors for this project, we will also be seeking financial support via Donations from members to cover the expenses of this project. At this time, we are accepting donations. So, if you are financially able to contribute to our project, please let us know. We have a goal set at raising approximately $800. Our current donation total is a little over $500. To contribute, email Daphne at: Tom_Erica_Proj@yahoo.com. The donation deadline is January 24, 2010. All your information, including your donation total, will be kept confidential. Also, please remember that donating is not mandatory, but if you are able to help, please do so, and remember that any small amount helps, be it $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, etc. Those of you who want to help but cannot do so financially, please consider writing more letters or becoming an editor or a recruiter.
