A Doozy of a Week

Mar 10, 2012 21:55

This work week draws to a close, at last, and in a few hours, it will be an hour later that it usually is. I for one welcome the extra hour of sunlight at night, where I can best take advantage of it.

Reflections on the week? It's been a killer Big Ten Tournament so far for my Spartans. Yesterday's blowout against Iowa and today's dominant second half against Wisconsin suggest they should be nicely honed for the Ohio State rematch tomorrow afternoon. As I told my mom, it's cool to see some of the younger, less frequently played team members getting some court time in this tournament. If they can clinch the tournament win tomorrow, we should all be able to agree to call them the Big Ten champs. If they lose, for some reason, at least they won't have lost to Michigan. And again, none of this matters when we see them in the Final Four.

The non-basketball stuff is a bit of a blur at this point. My abdominal excess use pains are a fading memory. Apparently I only had yesterday's show and today's two shows to run, but the office hours seemed to last forever. Oh, and the free dinner at the top of the week and the free after-show stuff last night keeps me in the black.

I don't feel as focused this week as I did last week. I've been reading, but not as intently. I've watched some TV shows but hadn't been successful at movie watching. And the blog entries seem a bit trite (particularly this one and last night's).

Shifting the focus to tomorrow, there's running club in the morning, rain or shine. And a day off. And a championship game to watch. And food in the fridge to cook. And a late start Monday, so no need to get to bed early before that. I'll get back in the groove.
