Bike Shopping

It was a quite, slow day at work, even more noticeable since Steven was still away on vacation. I had lunch with Aaron and got to talk movies and boxing. He had quite a bit to say, which often seems to be the case between us for therapy lunches. We popped into Coffee Works for an espresso for me which took too long for him to stick around.

Alex picked me up from work to go bike shopping (for him, not me). We stopped at Montlake Bike Shop first and Alex got an earful from Neil (apparently the owner) as he tried to hone in on what sort of bike he was really looking for. They have a ton of inventory there and if I were in the market it's someplace I'd stop to look.

Recycled Cycles is back to extended hours now that it's spring again so we went there next. They carry totally different bikes than Montlake and Alex found some models he liked there as well. It's been a while since I've been in there and usually that means I'm tempted to purchase. I resisted despite finding a couple different pairs of shoes that fit me comfortably and were good prices. I knew that new shoes would require new pedals and dropping all that money right now would be a mistake. I bought nothing.

We stopped at Mutiny Hall on the way to my place and had some drinks and fries while hanging out. There's my third of fourth visit there and like all the others, the place was practically empty. I can't believe they'll stay in business very long if they keep it up the way they're going.
