According to my phone, I haven't logged a road bike ride since October 17, 2012. Has it really been that long? That's more than three months (duh) - I don't think I've been off the bike that long since I started taking it seriously. And based on the length of today's ride, I still have barely been on the bike. I rode to the Neptune to drop off my bike so I'd have it to ride home after the show tonight. Riding again felt pretty good and today's weather was especially cooperative.
Today was little more than a long day at work. I took care of making change at the Neptune which was very much required. I missed the Friday box office meeting because I got downtown late, partly a result of exchanging the hoody I bought yesterday for one without messed up stitching.
Steven and I bussed back up the U District after he finished work and had our regular coffee date in a new location. Jacque wandered into Trabant while we were ordering and I nearly was stuck paying her bill. She talked her way out of it with the homie pass. I thought all us Neptuners had the homie pass but apparently not. I'm lobbying Jacque to get me a homie pass because I do not need to pay for espresso if I don't have to.
Tonight's show, Hot Buttered Rum, went quite late. I didn't leave there until after 11pm. Since I've been home I've been camped out in front of the TV to start this three day weekend. Watched the rest of this week's sitcoms then the Japanese movie Shall We Dance?. I think I've been intending to watch it since it came out because it got a good review in Entertainment Weekly way back when I was first reading that in high school. My brain has been telling me that I'd planned to watch Hedwig since then, but I think that movie was actually the big film in one of the first East Lansing Film Festivals and that's why it had been memorable despite my not having seen it until this month. Stupid forgetful brain.
Tomorrow might be a bike riding day with Courtney if weather permits. Neither Justin nor Eric is coming along because they are snowboarding and snowshoeing respectively. There's a pretty decent chance that I might end up snowshoeing with Eric and Angela if the predicted rains come tomorrow morning. 2013 is the year for new experiences, after all.
