A Day in Cincinnati
Foolishly, I left my computer charger somewhere at home before leaving yesterday, as well as the book I'm reading. I wasn't able to find a place to charge up today so I'm writing from the phone again. Excuse the brevity.
Got up early, but not 5am early. Just after 7. I wanted to stay asleep but decided to proceed with my day. Hung with Sam and Oliver before the left. Took a run on the hot and humid levee.
Hit A Taste of Belgium for a late and great breakfast: real Belgian waffle and frites. Net Sam after for a tour of Music Hall. Lunch at Senate: fried peach salad. Stopped at a bike store on the way home for a nap.
Picked up by Sally and Oliver to meet up with Kate at Union Station. Saw the fantastic miniature version of 1940s Cincinnati with model trains that no visit should omit.
Dinner at Frisch's Big Boy. Met up with Sam in Ault Park for tonight's Pops concert. Back downtown after to Moerlein for a nightcap and meats and cheeses just after the Reds defeated the Dodgers. Wishing I could stay another night and catch a game but still planning to leave after breakfast tomorrow.
