A lot has happened in the three months that I have been away form livejournal. Well... that's quite obvious because had a lot not happened then I would probably have posted more frequently.
Since getting my step one result, I have studied for, taken and gotted another 99 in my USMLE Step2CK. It was a very difficult exam but all is well that ends well. Had someone told me three or four years ago that I would end up with a double 99 in my steps I would not have believed them. But it has happened and once again I have confidence in my academic abilities.
The internship started last month. My first job as a proper doctor. I am currently rotating in Orthopedics. Orthopedics does not require one to use their brain much but interns have to do a lot of scut work which keeps me busy and on my feet from 7 in the morning to 5 or 6 in the evening and if I happen to be on call than pretty much continously for 36 hours. This is the first weekend, the whole of which I have off in the past one and a half months. When I am at home I am completely drained and sleep is the only thing I relish then.
