I'm at home, and pretty much since the minute i walked out of aldergrove airport I've had the flu. i felt a bit weak and pathetic on monday morning but put it down to a rather energetic weekend and a somewhat over-enthusiastic back massage from david the night before (it was lovely but it hurt. i bruise, you know.)
I was getting grumpier and grumpier and by the time we got to the co-op (i demanded juice so we had to stop) i was in a cold sweat and couldn't carry our shopping basket.
I suppose i couldn't be in a better place to have the flu - my parents are being very nice to me and bringing me juice, painkillers, making me whatever i want (nothing today - everything tastes weird) etc. the downside though is that i have seen nobody and i can't go and see my sick grandmother in case i give her the flu and she dies. that'd make me feel bad.
I've been thrashing around in bed since about 4pm yesterday - one minute i'm boiling and the next i'm shivering with cold. my skin hurts. i miss david and i think i've lost my job. and i don't even really care.
ho hum. i suppose i'd better get some rest - its been a busy day loafing around the place in between fitful snoozing.
