I knew it was too good to be true.

For the last few months I've had a roommate who's a truck driver. It was the perfect set up. He rented a room from me, and paid 75 bucks a week. It wasn't much, but it helped me out a great deal. He was never home, but maybe a week at a time, or a few days here and there. So it was the greatest thing ever.

I hate living with people, they always piss me off and I end up hating them, and vice versa. So with him gone all the time, i was in heaven. It was like I was living alone, and every once in a while he would come spend the night.

So I've now become accustomed to the bills being paid on time, not struggling, and being able to enjoy myself. So you can immagine my dismay when I came home from work today, and was informed that he went and spoke with an Army recruter this afternoon, and that he's leaving for the army on friday.

Not only is the war so fucking ludacrious to begin with, this guy isn't like a young buck. He's 33, not in the best of shape, and has a warrant for his arrest, due to lack of paying childsupport. I can't see how he's going to get around getting locked up for his warrant, when he'll be right in there with the government. I dunno. I guess I'm just pissed because I'm going to be back in broke mode for again.

I guess it was nice while it lasted.
