Back from the Jungle
Well guys, I have returned, a seasoned archaeologist. Except not really. I was more of a dirt lackey for cynical graduate students. But MAN, I fucking LOVED IT. The jungle was beautiful, if damp, the food was good, the work was hard, and the showers were cold. It was totally worth it. I found ceramics and lithics and an obsidian blade, and I got to analyze a termination cache (look it up) in the lab. Three credit hours for two hours of work in one afternoon, and very little paperwork. Goodtimes.
After field school we went to Guatemala and saw Tikal. Most amazing thing I've ever seen. Pictures will be on facebook soon. Then we went to Caye Caulker in Belize and chilled out on the fucking tropical beach. Oh. Yes. I'm exhausted but happy. Almost all of my clothes are clean, and my stomach can almost hold down food, plus I have a sexy sexy tan.
