Well this is a big icon dump of things I have been attempting in the past couple of weeks.

Hey there! Glad you liked it, here is what I did. I started with the original picture, which is this:
Then I cleaned her up a bit, sharpened her, blurred the skin, and cropped her.
Then I duplicated the base layer twice
I set the first layer to screen (60%) and then second to Soft Light (40%)
Then I made a new layer and filled it with a grayish blue (more gray) sorry I don’t know the exact colour, and set that to Burn (100%)
Then I did a new layer, and filled that with a dark blue and set it on Exclusion (100%)
Next I used this gradient
and set it to Overlay (60%) the lightest edge is at the top left.
Then I used this texture
by
myrasis
and set it to Exclusion (62%)
Finally I just used a handwriting brush, and chose a colour from the picture; I kept the layer on normal.
That’s it!! I’m not sure that technique will work on other pictures, but it’s worth a shot!
