(no subject)
* I had been thinking of doing Nano this year. I was going to last year when I thought I was losing my job, but I ended up only changing positions, so it wasn't a really ideal time. And this year felt really perfect because I've been feeling like I need something extra in my life. For a while now I've wanted to see if I'm only a non-fiction writer or if I can swing it with fiction too. But because it makes me nervous and quite self concious I figure something like Nano could really force me to push it. But this week ilustrated that 2009 won't be my year either. All of the sudden and exactly like it sometimes does, my job got much more demanding and when I get home I don't have energy to read, much less write. I don't know when it'll let up, so I can't really commit to produce 50K words in 30 days.
* I know I said this about last season only to be slightly desapointed, but I'll say it again without fear of jinking it: the SYTYCD top 20 looks so GOOD. There were so many dancers I thought looked really really talented that I know my heart is going to break a few times this season. Nathan and Billy of the top of my head look to be adorable and good dancers. Perfect combination.
* Two things about the interviews Brendon and Spencer did about their show in Santiago. Brendon said that they're thinking about playing a couple of new songs on the show. Only the thought of that doubled my squee and the flailing I've been doing about the concert, which was already impresive. Also, this quote from Spencer in a newspaper interview (translated from spanish by me):"Ryan always wanted to sing, but he understood Brendon was a natural singer, so it makes sense he'd do a project where he's the composer and lead singer". Do with that what you will.
* I really want to watch White collar, it looks like something I'll enjoy, but it's taking forever to DL.
