In other words, I have arrived. I accomplished so much to do it's unreal. First of all I went into work and filled out paperwork, then found out I don't work till the 19th (cuz I'm on vacation the 11-18 and my sister's graduation is the 8th and I told him that those days had to be days off). So work is all settled, I had nothing to worry about as the drug test came out fine of course. All that was required was for me to call and check to make sure he got them and then I was asked in to complete the hiring process. I'm excited for this job, and I think it's pretty cool that I get a name badge. I just hope I don't get too flustered and stressed during the adjustment/training period.
After that I spent 2 and a half more hours in my room...and...drum roll please...finished sorting through and unpacking/repacking stuff I brought home!! Finally, it's done!
So after that I rewarded myself with some steak tacos from Baja Fresh and some ice cream. Then I got the mail, watered the flowers for my mom, read a chapter in my book (that I'm reading for fun) out on the deck for 20 minutes, and then started relearning my Bohemian Rhapsody piano sheet music again.
Also, I talked to Brandon again last night. I have a feeling that our first time hanging out is going to go really well. The only frusturating thing is that he's leaving soon after the 18th because his job he's starting requires traveling. He's going to be working for a company he's worked for before that lays down track. It's interesting, because he felt really bad about having to leave right when we're starting to get to know each other. So he asked me how I feel about it. That launched us into a conversation. Basically he's taking the job because it pays $20-30 more an hour than working at the bank. I totally understand his need for more money next year when he graduates. Anyways, when he is on the road he'll be back every couple of weeks. Also, he said that the last time he worked for them they worked at Linfield for a month...so hopefully that means there's a good chance that he'll get a local job for part of the summer. In the end, he said that he's not too worried about this and that he thinks we'll be able to make this work. He also sounded pretty eager to hang out with my and spend a lot of time with me before I leave (first though he has to finish up finals and attend his sister's high school graduation). It was funny because he was saying how we should hang out Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or all of those...lol. I'll be sure to write in here when we do hang out.
Anyways, that's about it.
More later,
Heather
