The fruits of my labor...

Got my grades today for 5 of the hardest classes I've taken in the history of my college career. And the impossible has happened - I got a perfect 4.0 this semester!!! My first 4.0 at MSU...Usually I have that one A- or B+ that holds me down, but not this time! I even somehow managed to get an A in Sugarman's class, cmidnightsky, and I thought that would be an A- for sure!

I don't think I've ever been prouder...These are my junior and senior level classes and I'm acing every single one of them, despite the fact they they're hard as fuck. My overall GPA is now 3.93 and my psychology GPA is 3.97. That's just .03 away for perfect! Can you believe it?!?! It's hard to not be cocky about getting into grad school right about now, but I've gotta remember not to lose my cool this upcoming semester! Magna Cum Laude is so close I can taste it and I'll be damned if I'm gonna blow it!

But about grad school, I've really gotta get my ass moving on these apps...I've been off for almost 2 weeks now and haven't done a damn thing. I'm still not even sure what programs I want to apply to other than Kean. Don't get me wrong, I still plan on getting the doctorate - it's just that I'd rather have whatever Board of Ed I'm working for pay for it. The masters is enough to get me started AND, if all goes according to plan, it'll get me out of school and into the field before I turn 30. Which is why I've gotta get on these applications. One piece of paper misses the deadline and I'm outta luck until fall of '07, since most school psych programs only admit in the fall. I can't waste a year when I'm at the top of my game! But I'm really getting used to this lounge act of mine...Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

This year is soooooooo looking up for me. Lenny and I are in the beginning staged of planning our Eurotrip, which is exciting even though it's still uncertain. We're waiting to hear whether we got the World Cup tix or not, but we have to start booking shit immediately if/when we find out, so we're doing alot of research anyway. It turns out that his timeshare only has one hotel on the western side of Germany, which is where both of the games we requested are being held. The good news is that it's practically in the middle of the 2 stadiums we have to get to. The bad news is, it's in the middle of nowhere, so public transportation might be kinda iffy. My solution to this was rent a Porsche and get our asses out on the Autobahn!!! Of course, Lenny's not really biting that one, but if we have to pay for a hotel outside the timeshare we're really talking about breaking our bank. The other idea I really liked was the possibility of flying into Amsterdam, spending our 1st weekend there, training it into Gelsenkirchen for game one, traveling down through the cities of Dusseldorf, Cologne, & Bonn, and exploring the vineyards of the Rhineland on our way down to Kaiserslautern (we have 5 days between games 1 & 2, after all), training it to Gay Paris after game 2, and spending a day there before we fly back. That would take alot of careful financial and logistical planning, but goddamn would it be hot if we could pull it off! It might actually make me forget the fact that I'm going on vacation to a place that has no beaches... *sigh* But if the World Cup tickets don't come through, not to worry - London will be just as great a trip, and probably much less expensive...Plus there's no language barrier. My German sucks, even at its best.

But now is not the time to focus on the things I'm not good at. I just got 5 A's!!! :D
