Mmmmmm Yunho - you may just have rocketed him to the top of my bias list with this one.

That first kiss when he lets Changmin into the game; The constant care he shows; the time he took to plan and execute the scene; him knowing just what buttons to press on Changmin - not just in bed, but things like getting Changmin in the right frame of mind by not ringing him from the bowling alley. Following that up by timing the knock on the door for when Changmin’s vulnerable and when he might think the worst, so immediately his adrenaline and rationale are swooping up and down and keeping him unbalanced and helping to plunge Changmin into the headspace he needs for the big finale.

It’s such an intricate and well-choreographed dance (would we expect less from dancer!Jung?) to bring CM to where he can completely let go.

You gave us such great insights to what CM is thinking and wanting - I really liked the bit where he’s putting logic into how he reacts to being split-roasted: staying still so they both have to work together.

I wanted to jump up and applaud the safe word convo, and especially that you employed the safeword - it’s a nice change to have it be more than a tick-box exercise, and instead be used and reacted to in a way that helps to build the sense of trust and completeness of the pairing.

And then the bit that had me jaw-to-the-floor. You brought out the amyl nitrate and boom I swear my blood pressure dropped in time with Changers’.

I was so involved with the story that I was hanging on a thread waiting
for the popper to melt all of the muscles in CM’s body and ease him out to take them both at the same time. No wonder Siwon was calling deities!

That’s incredibly hot (and loving) especially because CM knows it’s all about him and he doesn't have to doubt:

And finally the few pars at the end just ramp up the love and care even more. I keep coming back to the fact this story is so appealing because of the message behind it.

And to think I wasn't sure if I'd make it past April. Also, remember that proviso that the challenge fics were going to be no longer than 5k each? I've written over 80k just on challenge fics alone (terrifyingly, 130k overall). I mean, jfc. HoMin are like speed or something.

I'm amazed that I took two kinks that squick the hell out of me and managed to make them work and be romantic at the same time. Yes, it took me three months to find the headspace to do it, but I'm glad I persevered because I do really like this one.
