wasn't me!

So a bottle of Henessy went missing from the bar where I work. At 11.30 on Wednesday, when N. [manager] walked by, everything looked kosher [though I doubt he stood there and counted bottles]. At midnight, the bottle was gone. It was well after closing [during the week we close at 11...goddamn Ruby Tuesday], and it had been a slow night, so there were no guests still in the bar.
Management has four suspects of who stole this bottle - namely, of course, the four people besides N. who were in the restaurant when it vanished. If someone doesn't come forward and take the blame, they all ge the ax [sooo unfair without proof]. Here's the breakdown of the suspects:

B. 23 yrs. old. Has been working in this restaurant [not just the chain] for something like a year simply in the hopes of getting behind the bar, which just happened a month ago. Was behind the bar when the bottle went missing. Competent server, but known to be an alcoholic.

C. 18 yrs old. Quit without notice three months ago to take a job doing construction three hours away only to find out that there was no job availible for him. Came in last week to beg for his job back and Wed. was his third night back on the floor. Takes his job v. seriously, enjoys waiting tables.

L. 19 yrs. old. Has been known to disappear for a few days at a stretch. Sometimes doesn't show up to work on time, but is frequently a source of a ride home from wild parties. Made a pass at me one time, but took it well when I brushed him off. Not a big drinker, but smokes a lot of pot.

F. 18 yrs old. Keeps to himself a lot, but good friends with L. Didn't call his mother [his ride home] when he was dismissed yesterday [simply disappeared]. Smokes a lot of pot, drinks some, but had a discussion with me recently about how stealing liquor from one's place of employment is wrong.

So who stole the Henessy from the bar?
