I have the flu. It sucks.
I need to get a flu jab but didn't have OHIP and then when it came through I already had a cold and you're not supposed to get a flu shot when you're already not well.
My sinuses are killing me and I have a headache and fever.
The timing is lousy because my American twin was here and I wanted to be showing her Toronto and seeing Harry Potter. Obviously we had fun anyway...BBC Pride and Prejudice on dvd...totally rules!! Plus time flies what with us having one or two things to talk about!!
I did curriculum presentations today to parents of both my classes. Despite feeling awful, they went really well. I absolutely love my students and their parents. The ethos of the school is perfect for me. The parents were so appreciative (which is rare in my experience) and I got really positive feedback from them. They also had lots of excellent suggestions and were appreciative of my teenage classroom assistant. What a joy!! The most common topic of conversation was which charities we're fundraising for. They seem so into social action...they're like dream families.
I am feeling generally so positive and excited about the profession I'm going into.
For now, I feel lousy. I hope I can shake this infection soon.
