I hate my job. The manager of the hotel is just...such an ass. No matter what I do, he finds something to yell at me about. Apparently now I have to be a babysitter to my coworkers.
He came in at 3:30 in the morning and asked where my coworker was. I said that she went back to her dorm and that was about an hour ago. He asked why I never said anything about it and I said because she always came back.
First off, I never on my coworkers. It's just a sleezy thing to do. No matter how much I don't like you, I would never do that. Everyone on other shifts can do it, why are we the ones getting yelled at?
Later on, at like 7ish, I was checking someone out and the manager came back and asked if my coworker left. I said that I think she's still back there because I didn't hear the door open or anything (we have a heavy back door that clicks when someone opens/closes it so we can tell) so I guess he went back there and saw that she had her head down or something and thought she was sleeping. She told him that she wasn't feeling well. He comes back up to me and says that we need to have a serious talk.
After he left I just started swearing up a storm. WTF did I do? I'm not being paid to babysit people. I'm not being paid to watch their every move. I told my coworker that I was going to be up in the front putting new labels on binders and stuff for our inspection we're having by the Air Force tomorrow. I'm tired of being picked on by this guy because I don't know exactly what my coworkers are doing.
They hired a new assistant manager to my supervisor - a job I didn't even know about - and it's this girl that didn't even work the front desk for as long as I have. Well she's like fucking 40 something years old, hooks up with all the fliers and shit and doesn't get yelled at. Well tonight she came in on her off time, drunk, with 6 guys and raised havoc on the coffee machine we have, which I cleaned up.
Fuck people. I hate people.
