(no subject)
Well I am home from my trip back east. I had a fabulous time !!! Getting to Phi Sig LTS proved interesting seeing as my flight from DC to Jersey was delayed, they got me on the earlier fligt, but my baggage stayed on the delayed flight, so I got there ,had no bag, and no one to help me, so I waited until the next flight came in about 3 hours later. (yeah, umm thanks Independence Air) Then I caught the shuttle to my hotel. IT TOOK 2 HOURS for a 30 minute trip cause the driver didn't seem to know his way to New Brunswick and I got a who tour of the FREAKIN' state of New Jersey. grr.. so I got there at 3:45 AM after leaving Cali at 11 am. I was tired, hungry and cranky, but the next day was great meeting up with people I haven't seen in a while (Beth, Tara) and people I haven't seen EVER (Ali, Crystal, Brooke,Jenn) the weekend was good. I got goose bumps during ritual. It was amazing to know that even though I didn't know all these women, we had all been through this before, and that women 90 years ago had been through it as well. All my phi sigs I hung out with at LTS, I love you all starletali You rock my socks and when I come back out there you have to take me to a White Castle.
Sunday cara_sel came to pick me up at my hotel and took me to her house. I met her parents, her dog, and her friend Susan, and we had burgers. the next few days included, driving around singing to Baby got back, searching for weird New Jersey magazine, talking sorority, going to the mall, trying to stay out of the extreme heat, heading out to NYC , drinking pink drinks (well, at least mine was pink, Cara's was greenish) seeing the Producers on Broadway....etc...... I just have to say tocara_sel I had a great time hanging out with you, we need to do it again and I hope you're having a fabulous time in Vegas. I'm sad I can't come out with you ! I hope you can come out soon for our Price is Right road trip. I also drove from Jersey to Connecticut to meet up with my friend Lynn and we drove up to Camp Pontiac to make a visit. It was better than I coudl've expected. All the children came running at me, hugging me and asking me 1000000 quesitons about why I hadn't come back and telling me I need to come back because the theatre girl this year didn't know what she was doing etc etc. Also got to go to the Wayside and hear about the drama that has taken place this summer. GOOD TIMES in lil' o Copake NY.
After that it was down to Washington DC. I LOVE DC. I felt like singing patriatoc songs the whole time I was there. My Backstreet Boys were amazing, as expected, it's kinda weird though, becuase it's been a few years since they've been around, and I feel like I'm the only fan who has aged... there was still a heavy population of teeny boppers, I'd think the average age of a BSB fan would've jumped a bit during their hiatus, but I think I just got older. Oh well, I know it's crazy, but even though I'm totally a BIT less crazy than I was, they are soooo connected to my High school/early college days that hearing them just brings back all of that and seeing/hearing them makes me happy and nostalgic.
I am home and sleepy now, and leaving for LA on Wednsday,and I want to clean my apartment/do laundry before I leave. There may not be more updates for a while (since I know you all get soo excited about my updates, (nudge nudge raise of eyebrows, smile) Just want to say, I have great friends I'm in a great mood and I love you all. (no I'm not drunk hehe)
