The Marina and striped shirts
I love listening to random bits of people's conversations while at the bar, coffe shop, wherever. For some reason I found this very amusing last night, looking back now, it's not THAT funny, but I think I'll share it anyway.
Overheard at City Tavern last night:
"dude, that girl is fuckin' Gorgeous"
" Yeah, she's pretty hot"
"I'd give like a finger to have a girl like that for my girlfriend"
"It could happen"
" I think she's Persian"
"Nahhh.. Eastern European"
Of course they weren't talking about the most beautiful girl at the bar, they were talking about the one wearing the LEAST amount of clothing. Of course this caused Mari and I enjoyment, and lead to our evening basically talking smack about anyone and everyone we could find. We found several HORRIBLE 80's throw back hair styles, 1 drunken Irish man who told us he was in town playing for the leprachaun basket ball league, and would like stick around to play a game of pool with him. and about 10,000 guys wearing the requisite striped, and or wide plaid button up shirt. It was highly amusing.
Today is cleaning, returning shoes, gym, maybe Slims, maybe going to visit Maria. Hope the rest of my weekend continues to be as chiil as last night was.
