Not Just A Fluke

Thought I'd finally get around to kicking this journal off. Everything posted here will generally be dedicated to all things obsessively Phile-y, fandom-y and fangirly. You have been warned.

So since we first had news that there was to be a second X-Files film people have begun to talk, write and think about The X-Files in a way that they haven't in recent years (excluding the Philes, who just haven't stopped talking, writing and thinking since '93) and subsequently there have been some lovely articles floating around, some nostalgic and some analytical. This is a slightly older article from 2007, but one I hadn't seen before. I've never thought to ponder the effects Darin Morgan's comedic episodes may have had on the series and on the series' impact, but Jonathan Kirby has:

How Darin Morgan Saved The X-Files

In other news, it's a mere two weeks before myself and a few other Philes see the luminous Miss Anderson in A Doll's House and begin our weekend of XF geekery! Said weekend including, but not limited to, endless quoting of episodes, reading out excerpts from the IWTB novelisation, discussing the MSR and listing our top 10 episodes (mytharc, MotW, shipper).
