Reading about Aztec values a few days ago, I came upon this quote:
"When you are called do not be called twice or you will be thought lazy or rebellious. This is when you will be struck with the club and the stone."
It sounded funny to me at that time but turned out to be profoundly true in my case and the damage done was more than a club or a stone could ever do.
