Quick update
Stayed at my parents' house last night. They have no power, but do have a generator, which lets them run 2 space heaters, or 1 space heater and some lights and appliances (they can run their fridge a few hours a day).
My parents and inlaws are supposed to have power by tomorrow evening. They're talking about "by midnight" on Thursday for us. However, we ordered a generator off of Amazon yesterday for overnight delivery. It should arrive sometime today. If it's before dark, we can probably get the kids' room heated up with the space heater and sleep in our own home tonight. If not, we'll be okay for tomorrow night, anyway.
I really, really, really want to wash my hair. I want hot water very badly. If my parents do get power tomorrow, I may stop by on Thursday just to borrow their shower.
