Marina's visit in picture form

Mar 28, 2008 13:53

At the behest of A, I have uploaded a bucket load of the photos that we took while we were galavanting around the countryside.  We went to Oxfofd, Stratford upon Avon (Yay Shakespear!) and loads of little villages.  It's all so beautiful around this end of the country you're very much spoilt for choice, both with the villages and just the countryside itself.  I've dropped a few pictures in here but if you want to see the entire bunch, with comments where necessary, you'll have to go to my Flickr page.  I've only just started using it but I may have to start using it a lot more.  I'd forgotten how many photographs I have and Facebook just can't keep up.

Up St Mary's Tower.  Shaggy, yes I am.

From below, the tower was just as impressive.  We did get stuck trying to come down though.  Too many people, not enough room!

Christ-church: Beautiful.  =)  Closed.   =(

Stratford cathedral.  There was a service going on inside with lots of latin chanting but there was a guy staring at us who looked as if he didn't want us interrupting.  =/  Also, proof that the other two photos of me are very flattering!  I just look pudgy and bedraggled here!

Marina made me photograph her going into several (well, endless actually!) pretty houses to confuse her friends who know she's moving to a new place in Barcelona.  It was a lot of fun!

This one is especially for paeanist.  I live in a village filled with places like this.  Jealous?  ;)

It was snowing pretty heavily at points throughout the weekend.  Very bizarre!

Stratford was lovely.  And we got there when there were no tourists!  Class!

Proof that there were moments of beautiful sunshine.  Also, I look better when I can't be seen directly.  ;)

The End!
