You don't really think they spend $20,000 on a hammer, $30,000 on a toilet seat, do you?
The desks at the Washington Post cost hundreds of dollars each. They have electric-powered pressure motors that adjust the height to more ergonomically pleasing positions.
So what do I do? I brake the lever off the one at my desk today. Five seconds later, my over-boss walks over.
"Are you on lunch?"
