On the Care and Feeding of Unexpected Visitors

Diamond wrote in her journal. I cannot express to the others how distressed I was to hear that the stranger we encountered on the edges of Mirkwood forest had a Nazgul's ring. The other stranger, the Maia that appeared to help us, said that Isildur's Bane had returned, but that simply cannot be. Perhaps some other evil Maia has created his own ring ( Read more... )

Glorfindel entered the healing house with Joxer cradled in his arms and Iolaus in tow. Laying him gently on a bed, he called orders quietly to the elf nearby, making the young man comfortable, covering him with a blanket and getting a chair for Iolaus to sit in and placing it nearby but out of the way of where the healers would work. "Come, my friend and sit. There is little to be done until Lord Elrond sees him."

Iolaus does as bidden, now looking more concerned as he sees Joxer lying there, looking quite helpless. "Is he going to be alright, d'ya think?"

Yes, that would be the best, since you told that it was your fault to beginn with

*sighs* I will explain, then I will leave, I have caused enough problems.

The one ring made more Nazgul rings and has been handing them out to people and turning them into wraiths. Bliss, the godling of happiness, asked me to save his friend. I tried once, and failed. Then I choose to take a different path, and was able to break the bonds and take away the nazgul ring, but was too weak to do more than that. And he left...

Mike, my teacher helped him to his current state, and now he needs time to heal his mind from what the ring's effect had on him.

I am sorry, I was only trying to help. *walks out of the room*

*checks over Joxer*

I guess I will be able to help, but it will need some time.

*sends the healers to bring him the things he will need*

Glorfindel slipped from the room and waited outside, watching the exchange between the hobbit and the elf. When they parted, he waited until the young elf passed him, then fell in step beside him. "So, you would create this mess and just leave then, penneth? Leave those who love you with no explanation and no understanding?"

I'm sorry, but every time I explain this, I push them further away. No one can understand because I cannot explain it fully in words. Please understand, this was my choice. It may have been the wrong choice, but what is done is done, and cannot be undone. I'm sorry, that is all I can say is I'm sorry.

"I am sorry you felt it necessary to do things this way, penneth," Glorfindel said quietly, "but you are still part of this family and ever will be and I will always care about you." Glorfindel leaned over and squeezed his shoulder then turned to leave.

*overheard Glorfindel's words and turned to rejoin the elves* My lord Glorfindel, I am certain that Elrohir meant no harm! He is a kind and gentle elf. He meant only to help that man.
