Going Home

Diamond Took sat in the back of the now empty cart and watched trickster_loki and iolaus_lj as they finished fastening the rope around the gift that she had brought for Smaug, terrible_dragon. As was her habit, she reached for her journal and began to write.

Dearest Pippin. We are leaving here. I am coming home. Home. If you could see how my hand shook when I wrote that word! Gracious

Loki smiled at Diamond and bowed slightly to her. "It was a pleasure traveling with you, m'lady. Have a safe journey home." He glanced at Iolaus, "If you are not going back with Diamond, you may come with me to see the dragon."

Thank you. It was a pleasure for me as well. I do hope we get the chance to meet again one day.

"Thanks for the invite," said Iolaus with a grin, "But I think I'll pass. I'd rather see the lady safely home. But maybe next time?"

Loki smiles, "Oh, of course. I'll be sure to let you know." With that, he bows, and both he and the Long Cleeve disappear.

*to iolaus_lj* I hope that he finds Smaug. I'd hate for the dragon to think that I didn't bring his gift.

OOC: I think that's what the Smaug mun wants. I told the mun that Diamond isn't crazy enough to go into a dragon's lair. foolhardy yes, crazy no.

Most definitely! Just sorry to see everyone else has to rush off, now that I'm back and able to play - but such is life, I guess!
