I will get back to these comments and possibly add a few more about the rest of the movies that have either come out or yet to be released. (Really liked Wonderland btw, but I will not be crazily obsessed with it like Pirates...or Corpse Bride, or Sweeney Todd, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, which are all much much superior films.) The issue is whether I 'want' to have her take a look at it...and I'm not really feeling it at the moment. (And it means more tiresome laboring...I don't know if I should submit the prologue, which is two thirds complete, or chapter one, which I need to entirely rewrite.)
It should fill me with excitement, the very idea, but it does not. (Don't get me wrong, I'm still psyched as hell for attending the class!!!)
Maybe I'm just being silly and I will deeply regret letting the opportunity pass by...I'm just weighing all the pros and cons at this stage.
Also concerning hats,
Can I say both? :P
The reason is because I want opinions from people who are your everyday 'readers.' I'd want to know who they take a shine to, if they were exited, (did it evoke an emotional response?) if they're having a fun time reading it kind of thing. It's a journey I want them to enjoy taking with the characters and I want to achieve a 'caring for' attitude rather than 'a cold indifference.'
But yes on the technical side of things as well. I want to know spelling, grammatical errors, holes in plot, things that don't make sense, things that don't sound right/ flow well, and feedback on my descriptive language. I can't bring myself to get a stranger to beta this, at least at the moment....It just feels really strange, so any sort of feedback really would help me greatly!
Also I'm someone who can take criticism, even the blunt, harsh kind. Jennifer Fallon covers a broad range I hear in looking over your work, and she admits she's not going to sugar coat her views but be HONEST. Can't ask for anything more than that.
We'll see. (And thank you for your interest!)
