A side order of phoenix.

So Wednesday morning I got up with over an hour before our session started I thought cool, we’ve loads of time. But apparently, I wasn’t getting ready fast enough, as my annoyed, yet enthused younger sister pointed out. On the way, we are stuck in traffic due to road works. Ended up getting there just in time. (The previews were only just starting ( Read more... )

Get ready for a long comment. :p

[Edit - In fact, get ready for two long comments. >>]

*dies laughing* You hated my favourite part! Already I'm loving this recap! :D Of course, I was so with you on Arabella. WTF was that? And I couldn't believe it when they left out Dumbledore's Howler, I was really looking forward to seeing that ... but I forgave it 'cause I was so impressed by the Dementor scene. >>

This isn’t an angry Figgs because good characters in these movies have to be portrayed as kind and soft natured.

Amen. Unless you actually ARE kind and soft-natured and then they have to bastard you up. -_-

No wonder deprived souls who have only seen these films dismiss these books as stupid kid stories, the villains are really about as menacing as Delores Umbridges kitten plates.

Okay, I'm going to have to stop pasting whatever you've said with a big "I KNOW!!!" after it. You'll have to take it for granted that I'm really feeling you on a lot of these statements. ^^ Including your thoughts on Lupin, though I was totally giggling inbetween the "I KNOW!!"'s.

*dies* I forgot about them not hiding themselves while flying Harry to Grimmauld place! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. *facepalm* But I kinda thought they did Grimmauld Place okay. *runs*

Hehehehe, I liked your take on Hermione. (I didn't notice her blondeness! But I am very sad the bushy hair is gone.... which probably says far too much about me. >>) Haha, same reaction to the Room of Requirement. They probably chose Neville 'cause they knew it would get us rabid fans off their asses. :p But my observational skills fail! I was just all, oooooh, pretty. I noticed there weren't cushions, but I didn't think very far past that, but you're right, how ... non-required. And, yes, movie!Ron and Hermione are so much sweeter and more believable than book!Ron and Hermione. And you just have to love Hermione to bits. ^^ I also didn't notice we didn't get an explanation for Arthur being at the ministry! I was so into watching the movie I filled in the gaps on my own. *more facepalming*

Snape. I knew you would be so much more upset over that than I. But I was still upset. Especially that they left out the memory of Snape with his fighting parents - that was the first moment ever I started feeling any kind of sympathy for this character. And no Lily. *weeps* That was actually what I was most excited to see, that and the final showdown. I was so glad I was warned before I saw the movie or I might have screamed. :p

*sighs for all the all-too-true Dumbledore stuff*

Ha. I wasn't so much of a fan of Grawp/Hermione, simply for it not being in the books. I was glowering at the screen and "Hmph!"-ing a little bit there. :p

Which made me groan inside my head, ‘They are going to botch the fuck out of the centaur part’, and as if hearing my thoughts, the film complies.

*totally agrees with you but is giggling at the way you wrote it*
