Checmical Spill
Man, I hate it when I fuck up.
I was working in the clean lab today and needed to take something our of the fridge where all the chemicals are and as I was taking the bottle of lithography developer, I accidentally bump into another bottle and send it down crashing. The contents quickly spread across the room and in panic i just grabbed paper towels and wiped it off the floor as quick as I can. I then ran down where the grad student who was running the lab was teaching a lab class and told him what happend.
He announces to the class that I fucked up and he had to go and clean my little chemical spill. Damn humiliating, more so because the class were filled with people who were in my batch. A little humiliation, hell that's not so bad...
When we entered the clean room, he asked where the spill was to which I quickly said, with a beaming smile, that I cleaned it up with some paper towel. WOW, WRONG MOVE! He gave me a quick slap in the head and looked for the bottle. Good thing it wasn't acid or anything biohazardous.
Lesson for the day, DO NOT CLEAN CHEMICAL WASTE WITH PAPER TOWELS!
Sigh, what a day at research. Well, atleast the men in masks didn't have to come in to clean up. That actually happend once already, so I hear... >.
