God, it's friday already! So much going on and school is starting soon!

Okay, so, firstly; the wedding. Amazing. As all family gatherings are. It was HUGE. But that's what happens when your family is ...well, huge. My dad is the second youngest of four, and our grandfather is the oldest of five. So just think of that for a minute for family size. And we're a really tight knit family.

There was dancing, food, laughs and tons of music. My cousins and I have been rehearsing some songs for the last few months to play at the wedding. So when the band took their break, we all got up to perform a few songs! It was fabulous. The bride and groom had no idea what we were doing--no one really did, except us. We picked a few appropriate songs, all covers. Everything from I Want To Hold Your Hand by the Beatles to That's How You Know from Enchanted--in which we had all of our younger cousins sing. It was adorable. Shelly and I also did Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton, since that's how the Bride and Groom met, more or less. I think we did a total of ten songs? It was great. Family band FTW! :D So of course then we all had our instruments so we had a jam session later further away from the tent once it got darker. Jake's banjo playing is improving so we got to play some Nickel Creek stuff, as well. Derek was also a hit.

Shelly's coming down in two weeks to visit for her annual summer week with me. And then once she leaves, Anna is coming down around midweek. Then we need to go shopping for our apartment dorm, Mina! Roommates reunited! But this weekend Sammy and I are going out to New Jersey (I know, I know...) to see Jason Mraz play tomorrow night. We're going to crash/go with her cousins so we have a place to stay.

And apparently they're doing a whole bunch of stuff for the new season of Mad Men around the city (since it takes place here). The AMC (movie theatre) in Times Square is going to show the premiere of season three for free, and its a costume party and contest! And we all know how I can't resist a costume party ;) If anyone else is interested in going, tell me so I can whip you up a costume.

Okay, Mike is demanding some strange dance-a-thon in the living room, so I'm off! Also, why is Derek still here? He's late for work.
