Feeling like Jingle and Bells,
I finally got my MSc (tech) grade. Formally, of course, I had got that on 28 Nov, but I got printed reports from the principal at the University in a ceremony with speeches and brass band music some two weeks ago. Feeling different now? Yes. My life after graduation seems to be filled with design & planning challenges. For instance each morning I find myself with lots of possible solutions, concerning the problem of which sock I should put on first. Plus it's a very strange feeling, not having to write the same thesis anymore. Perhaps I'll report about these anomalies later. o_O
Also, I got a raise in my salary, as my supervisor changes. I'm a researcher now, instead of assistant researcher. The raise is about one fifth, which will be a little help. The old supervisor came to see me three days ago, telling me that my work is going to end at the end of current year ("you're fired!") since she won't be hired by the University next year. Fortunately I had already been promised continuation to the end of July with another supervisor so I didn't get shocked at all about these news. I guess the change of supervisor is only a positive thing, as the previous one was a little invisible, making my work a little too independent.
Holidays! I have a Christmas & winter holiday, finally! \o/ I have to return to work not before next year. Weird, isn't it? Currently we're residing at Smilla's parents, and we're planning to stay for a week, but driving back to our cozy (and hopefully warm) happy home before new year.
It's so white around here. Pictures later. Perhaps some trees covered in pink snow (at the sunset).
