despair is when you know without a doubt that you will fail, that it will not work, and that all is lost.

and not a single person, animal, or being...save god...knows anything in all its certainty.

and so in this truth, and it possibly being the only one guaranteed, there is always hope, there is always a chance, and there will always be a way.
