Ok, I guess with power outtage on Saturday and the relief on Sunday when it was back on, I didn't get around to telling LJ. On Saturday the regulator blew and it caused an electricity surge in our house and fried our power. No fuses were blown or tripped and I still had power in my room, my brother's room and at least one light down in the basement. But the lights were BRIGHT because they were getting so much electricity. Our house could have burned down.
Fortunately or unfortunately (this house could really be remodeled...) it did not and the power company got the power back online Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the power spike blew out a laundry list of appliances. On the top of that list are the iron filter system, water softner system, stove, and microwave. Suck! So we are on the path of getting new appliances which home owners insurance should pay for. We'll likely go shopping for them tomorrow after I get off of dialysis.
