It was apparently really awful. A bicyclist was decapitated even. I cannot imagine how awful it was.

Wow ... that's terrible. Poor guy.

My mum saw something very similar happen years ago. She was in Germany and a cyclist got caught under a tram - he was decapitated.

Mum was telling me that it was really hard to deal with at the time, but that you get through it. I'm sure Doug will too.

It was really traumatic for him and unfortunately our breakup happened in the middle of it. I feel so bad for him becase he's been so sad.

The toughest part of that relationship was the Doug is in the closet. I never imagined how hard that would be. I was really sick of being introduced as "my buddy Glen".

I don't understand how he can be 41 and in the closet...especially in Chicago...but he grew up here and he knows a lot of people and I'm sure it is difficult for him. I tried to be patient but there's only so much I can do.
