bits of creativity and coolness

I finished all the rings for Boru and Deirdre.  I think I ended up with 20 of them, some with gemstone beads and some black and white glass beads made by Griffin.  I still have some more wire weaving to do: two chains, three rings, and a circlet.  Dugal has to do the casting for two of the rings and one of the chains.  He's also casting some Viking items for Deirdre.

My iolite came in yesterday; from the description, the beads should have been larger.  I didn't feel like sending it back to China, so I just strung it with smaller amber chips.  It looks nice.

I have to make Dugal a long-sleeved white tunic and a green shorter sleeved tunic by Coronation.  I have to make myself a white Norse underdress and a black apron with Meridies trim.  I've been meaning to do it for ages, and being on entourage has given me excellent motivation.

I have a few more items to make for largesse, but it shouldn't be much trouble.  They're mostly foody-type things.

While we were out yard saling today, I found a previously-unworn purple wool floppy hat for $2.00.  We'll probably have to wet it and stretch it out a bit, but I'm still very excited about it.

Dugal bought me some olive green linen-cotton fabric.  It's lightweight and wonderful, and it's telling me it wants to be a Norse undertunic.

Tomorrow several of us are heading over to a friend's house to talk garby things and possibly get fitted for GFDs.  I am really looking forward to it.
