This was the fourth clinic I have ridden on this summer, two with Tom Widdicombe and two with Steve Halfpenny and with the September Silversand weekend having been the longest-standing fixture on our clinic timetable it's also the official end of summer as far as we are concerned ( Read more... )

Hehe, I love Zorro's plaited forelock at the beginning. Bless!

In that Western picture of Lottie, what's that hanging behind her chin (unless it's something in the background that just looks like its attached to the bridle, hahaha). I don't know anything about Western tack. :P

Right behind her chin is the tassle from the mecate, the little line behind her jaw is the slobber strap at a slightly funny angle- you can see the strap more clearly in the picture of Steve doing up my ropes for me.

It was a very happy moment and I think it really comes out in the picture. The clinic was really well positioned in that field for getting everything backlit in the sunshine.

As usual, the pictures are all around and bigger on my Flickr.

It was the most amazing feeling - totally relaxed and calm, but wonderfully forward, and he just drifted back down gently to a halt by his admiring public. And I only cried a little bit!
