We're finally home. It's amazing how you forget about the little things at home when you travel (like how your pillow feels, or that your toothbrush is always in the cup by the sink, or how the grandfather clock clicks off time). The house has a faint stale smell from being closed up and the dogs are not really sure what to make of it. We've got the place all open today; it's a bit chilly, but it feels better.
I think Joe is doing better about the world championships. I haven't had a chance to talk to Hal about it. Neither have anything to be ashamed of and I hope they understand that.
Hunter is done with school in a few weeks and then she's with us for the summer. It's gonna be great having her around full time. I think she likes it here and she loves Joe and the dogs. We'll be good. Not to mention she gets to see her grandparents next month and she's all over that.
Other Joe was saying how fast time goes with kids, and it's true. I look at Hunts and can't believe it's been 6 years since I held her in my arms for the first time. But yet when we're together, time seems to stop. Not sure how that works.
