I was reading something about fatherhood myths just now and one of the myths was "You are destined to be just like your own father". While I'm glad to hear that this is a myth, I read on and it mentioned that your father is just one of the many you will pattern yourself after. So I got to thinking about who my fatherhood influences are/were (trust me, I am going somewhere with this) and how they shaped me as a man and as a father.

So out of curiosity:
To the dads out there - who influenced you as a father role model or who do you pattern yourself after?
To everyone else - Other than your parents, who influenced you to become the person you are today? Who else, along with your parents helped you become the person you are today?

And on a totally separate note. Chris, although I'm sure it hurts your dad a little, I know a lot of thought went into your decision. Good luck in the Q kiddo.
