its that time again

my birthday

so far for my birthday i recieved max kisses, roses, a balloon that sings, gift cards for dave and busters and bronchitis

i have learned more in the last year of my life than ever before...its been good

i learned not to hold on to anything that i can't ensure myself...and even if its something i can control i have to keep a loose grasp on that. i have learned to bow to the whim of the universe and just hold on and enjoy the ride. i have learned that muse comes with cost. i have learned how to love myself before all other things. i have learned that in order to play hard one must work twice as hard. i have learned that the rewards of honesty are endless. i have learned who does and does not have my back. i have learned to cherish the moments but not to dwell on them ...it is rare now that i look at my life and go man wasn't it great when...it is great now and i will not take that for granted...

i am grateful for all that i have learned and lost. i am grateful that i am stern in my boundaries and ambitions for once. i am happy to be functioning as a single entity who comes and goes as she pleases.

well, off to sleep the sleep of the ill...will be at kate's for mild birthday shinanigans this evening...cake, chilling,etc ...proper crazy birthday shinanigans to proceed this weekend with health
